As you can see, I haven't updated my sketchblog in a bit. I HAVE been doing my sketch a day, and my intention was to updated it only a few times a week so I'm not spamming you completely. I GUESS I got a little carried away with being lazy. Haha. So here! Have some sketches:
<- Day 5: No. That's not coffee. It's hot chocolate. Liana on coffee may be hazardous to your life!


--> Day 6: Something that actually happened in Book 2 and I couldn't resist sketching it. Kera's perspective is fail, but I like how Milo turned out~

--> Day 8/10: It's split because I worked on most of this sketch on day 8 but I sketched the wings on day 10. I forgot to scan in between :[ Anyway, this is not my char. It's my dA friend Sor-RAH's character Ezekiel. I've wanted to draw fanart of him for SUCH a long time...

--> Day 13: I wanted to practice noses some more because they give me the most trouble. My victim was Jaaaaaasoooonnnn. I love him. At first I'm like: Why does this look so weird? then I realized I parted his hair on the opposite side I normally do. Regardless, yum.

<- Day 14: I dunno. Abstract Sashaness, I guess? haha.
--> Day 15: Eliot was super tired in yesterday's writing session, so I drew him all sleeeepppyyy. The quote on the bottom is from Jaws~annddd I still fail at drawing a bow.

Bah, I finished this awesome picture of Kera that I have nowhere to put because I declared Janaury "Fanart Month" on dA and technically since it waaassss one of my 365 sketches, I'll stick it here. Haha. You'll be able to see it on dA sometime in February!

My intentions were to portray an emotion without eyes...and I really wanted to practice coloring noses and lips. I think I did okay. I was doing random stuff with the background and my friend Min who was watching me said it looked like a building with foggy windows which I kinda agree with. See the highly saturated sections on the left and right? Windooowwwsss. Haha. I wonder where she is...

How do you think she feels right now? Or what emotion do you pick up from this picture?

Day 4: Haha. Just kinda messin' around. Since Min and I have established that my char Greta and her char Darcy would probably end up flirting a LOT, I had the image of him trapping her against a wall. His arm in back didn't look right anywhere I put it so I just erased it completely haha. His front arm TOTALLY makes up for it though. I mean, lookit that HAND. hahaha.

Funny story: I left the sketch out so Dev could look at it in the morning and he's like: "Alex and Greta?"
"no,"
"Sasha and Alex?"
"No...Darcy and Greta,"
"Ohhhhhh. Darcy is usually in fancier clothes, so I got confused,"

<-- Day 2: Digital sketcher of me and my online bff Min. We're both ridiculous Harry Potter nerds, can you tell? Haha. I eventually want to do a better drawing of this but I couldn't resist just doing a shooting the sh*t sketch after all the work I put into the demigod calender ^__^ Yay no pressure sketch!

--> Day 3: Okay, so I really wanted to do a demigod New Years sketch. I initially wanted to draw everyone like I did for the Christmas sketch, but decided against it when I got a similar idea to the one I drew in my head. Originally I was going to make it Jason and Liana, but I draw SO MUCH of those two that I figured I should give someone else some paper time haha. Then I was going to draw Sasha and Greta cuz, well, they're sisters. But as I was drawing it I decided to make the top char Liana because she's all bendy. Then I changed my mind AGAIN and brought it back to Greta so now it's Greta. She's giving Sasha bunny ears because February 3rd starts the Year of the Rabbit. Clever, hey? haha. I will finish this picture sometime this week because along side with the sketch-a-day I'm also doing a finished-picture-a-week for the year and I'd really like this to be my finished picture! So keep a lookout! :]]

New Year New Goals!

Bahh, I've been neglectful of my sketchblog because I wasn't able to post the sketches I was doing because it was for a secret project. I will post their sketches soon, though, I promise.

For 2011, I'm going to attempt to do the Sketch-A-Day-For-A-Year challenge so expect to be spammed here! ^__^

We're off to a pretty good start~I was messing around on SAI just for fun because I haven't done a sketch for shiz and giggles in awhile ^__^

Let me explain the sketch a bit: I've recently been having a LOT of wrist pain, so I've been resting it since Christmas. Well, the pain hasn't subsided so I searched my symptoms online today and because I'm too poor to go to a doctor, I self diagnosed myself with wrist tendonitis. AT LEAST IT'S NOT CARPAL TUNNEL. Anyway, I'm wearin' a wrist splint (boo) but I'm not going to let it stop me!!! ^__^
